The sites accepted into the ring must:

You must have an Alcoholics Anonymous based site, A.A. content on your site, or some form of alcoholism based information on your site. This may include or not include links, stories, meeting information, literature, Big Book excerpts.

Not contain any nudity, pornography, or sexual material of a lewd, lecherous or obscene nature and intent or that violate local, state and national laws.

The Web Ring Elements (HTML Fragments and Graphic) should be on the page you submitted when joining. You MUST have the HTML fragment on your page before you will be inserted into the ring.

Read the rules and make sure you comply with them.

Go to the Submit a Site to The First Step Web Ring page or The First Step Web Ring Application Form and fill out the application form.

You will receive an e-mail containing your unique ID.

Save the fswrby.gif.to use. To save the gif(s), place the cursor on the image and click the RIGHT mouse button. Choose "save as" from the menu that appears. Place the graphic file(s) in the same directory as your ring-approved page.

E-Mail me (dalmane50@itol.com) your request for addition to the ring, after you have placed the html code on your page. In your message, include:

Name of the ring: First Step Web Ring
Your site's URL
Your site's Title
Your e-mail
Your name

I will check out your site and add it to the ring, if you have done all of the above. As soon as your site is added, you will receive an e-mail notifying you.

It must be easy to find so we don't have to search to hard for it.

It doesn't have to be on the front page, but you should have a link to your Web Rings on the main page and the URL you submit must be the URL the HTML Fragment is on or the ring will not work.

If the Web Ring Elements (HTML Fragments and Graphic) are going to be placed on a Web Ring Page then a text link on your Index page would be nice.
